The location of Mackeys' Marina is interesting.  It is right accross the
sound from Edenton or Midway Drive:

How long did it take to cross?  Would you recommend overniting there?  What
were their restrooms like?

Are there any good marinas or achorages between Mackeys and Columbia?  Did
you check out Hertford?
