Ahhhh, pardon me, so you were talking about someone else's bullshit?
Glad you cleared that up.
Speaking of soapbox's and everything not being about you.
Go back and reread the post that seemed to upset you so. As I said, I
labeled you nothing, but while we're on the subject:
Everyone labels everyone, all the time. It's only the small minded
that seem to object. You label me constantly, wether you voice it or
not.
I'd say, even though I didn't name you by name, left-leaning liberal
is a pretty apt description of you and your views, from what I've seen
here. It's not an insult, nor is it meant to be. I'm a far-right
conservative (on most issues), and don't mind being called that.
Are you holding on to some non-liberal views in which I've misread
you?
If not, clean up your pen, the odor is getting stronger.

Herb,
Get off your soap box long enough and settle down. Not everything that's
posted on this list is directed at you. You aren't that important. There are
other people that have open discussions on this list.

Glad your sense of smell is working Rummy. Clean up your own area, and I
think you'll find the smell improves a little.
In other words, don't dish it out if you can't take it.

Herb,
Twist words anyway you want, but bullshit still stinks like bullshit. I
think you missed your calling in life. You should have been a politician.

Really? I labeled you something? I'm rereading my own message, and I
don't think I labeled you anything.
I DID say what I would do where I left leaning liberal, but I didn't say
you were.
Getting a little touchy there, aren't you Rummy?
[5]R22RumRunner at aol.com wrote:
Herb,
Once again you label someone without knowing anything about them. If
someone
even says anything that you find contrary to your beliefs, you label
them
a
liberal. I am sorry that you walk through life with blinders on. There
is
a
whole world out there to experience.
Now that today is the election day, I for one would hope that the
political
chit chat would slow down a bit, but that's just wishful thinking. If
Obama
wins, the right wing republicans will stop at nothing to bash him for
the
next four years. If McCain wins it will be four more years of bashing
him.
As I
see it, nobody is going to win. Same crap, different day and non of it
amounts
to anything anyway.

I don't blame you a bit. If I were a left-wing liberal, I'd want the
same thing. Being of the opposite persuasion, I'm hoping she's around a
while to bring some real change.

Herb,
I'm not a gambling person and I don't much care for politics or
politicians.
My hope is that Palin will disappear into the sunset just like Dan
Quale
did.

Rob,
Do you not see how self-conflicting your statements are? McCain is
left
of the middle. If he "lurches" right, he moves TOWARDS the middle,
not
away.
I don't place many bets that are not sure things, but here's one I
will.
$100 says that Palin successfully runs for national public office,
maintaining a conservative right agenda.
Wanna put our money where your mouth is?

Dave,
Thanks for the story. I certainly agree with it. I do think
McCain's
lurch towards the right hurt him. We'll have to await the final
results
to see if it's true or not. I do agree his pick of Palin may have
cost
McCain the election by alienating the middle. I recall after the
convention he floated the name of Tom Ridge as his running mate, but
the
base recoiled due to Ridge being pro life. Tom Ridge may have
helped
him win Pennsylvania, which is so critical to McCain's chances.
So
McCain was stuck trying to pick a running mate that appealed to the
base, which was Palin. Problem was it drove the middle away.
With
Palin's approval ratings in the teens and her disapproval ratings
over
50%, it's certainly not helping McCain. If you have the CNN story,
I'll
read it. - rob

I think this in an interesting piece which reinforces what I've been
saying about the importance of the middle of the political
spectrum.
A similar article on CNN.com over the weekend about how Sarah Palin
may have cost McCain and herself the election by alienating the
middle
- I can send that link if anyone wants it.
