Ahhh, but I was rabidly anti-Obama. It DID affect my daughter's vote
(who actually leans left), my son-in-laws (even though he was
disenchanted with her immediately before the election, he had made the
decision NOT to vote at all, until McCain announced her candidacy). Same
with his wife (one of my other daughters). The other two daughters were
both already voting McCain anyway, so they were in the same boat as me.
One of the major factors you're overlooking is the money she brought
into the party. Those that were like me, voting not so much for McCain
as we were against Obama, suddenly started giving money to the
Republican party. I DO hope you're not suggesting that money doesn't
help win votes.
We have a President-elect that can disprove that theory.
