[Rhodes22-list] Carb Rebuild

Rummy,

Actually, I haven't found a carb rebuild kit for the Mikuni 1503 for
the Kawasaki FC 420V - DS16 engine.  The best source for parts on the
net I've found so far was Upstate Outdoor in Belton, SC.  I'm going to
the Deere dealer right down the road from the hangar tomorrow to see
if they have a carb available and what they would charge to rebuild
mine.  The DS16 engine is exclusive to Kubota, but from the parts
diagram it is identical to the FC420V - 15 & 17 engines.  I love
Kubota products and have owned several but I try and steer away from
their dealership network for parts.  The carb sells new for $100 to
$140 on the net.  If the kit sells for $15, another $15 for beer,
damage to the hangar wall after I throw it and possible ricochet onto
my hangar-mate's airplane,  I'll save myself lots of money and grief
by just buying a new one.
