Wally,

The property that is selling is in Memphis/Shelby County. I live in
Collierville, which is also Shelby County but a separate city from
Memphis.  The taxes on the house in Memphis is almost as much as the
home I live in despite being worth a third as much. We are in the
county school system, not the City of Memphis schools, and for every
$3 of our property taxes for education, we have to send $2 to Memphis.
 Their schools are the worst in the state, ours are in the top 5%.
Riddle me that!

I voted for Corker over Harold Ford, Jr. for the US Senate and I
wouldn't mind a do-over on that one.  I hope JR runs for Mayor of
Memphis to get back into politics before running for another national
office.  He, of course, may be to honest for the job.
