[Rhodes22-list] Political - this made me think of Obama and some members of this forum

Herb,

At the risk of beating a dead horse, let's give the ole' mule one more
good last lick. People who win the lottery usually end up miserable
because they weren't prepared for their windfall. "Wealth" is a
relative term. I have no idea how my parents are going to heat their
house this winter, but they are two of the "wealthiest" people I know.
Frankly, with all the talk going around about the "middle class", I'd
like to be "middle class" for a few years. I went from a lifetime of
"working poor" to "upper income" overnight. "Overnight" took 35 years
but who's counting? Being stuck in the "middle class" doesn't sound
so bad. Don't tell my parents that the current numbers say they are
solidly in the "poverty class". Dad is a kind and gentle man but he
does have an Irish temper and at age 87, he can still throw a punch.
There's something about those WW2 vets that at any age you don't want
to mess with.
