[Rhodes22-list] food for thought

Pete!!! You read my message!!! Does that mean you lied when you said
they were going to be deleted, or you changed your mind?

Please keep in mind, my quote had a context. We were talking about
qualifications for office.

I don't know that Barak has been faithful to his wife. Nor do you. I do
know that he's been married to her for years, but Bill was married to
Hillary for longer, so what? Being married does not indicate fidelity,
and being divorced does not indicate infidelity.

I'm married to my second wife. I was not unfaithful to my first wife,
nor to my second wife. Bill's been married only once, but I don't think
he can make the fidelity claim.

Would you like to try another one? If you really do want discussion,
please feel free. Keep in mind though the following:

1) I'm talking about qualifications for President. Jimmy Carter was
probably one of the most devout Christian presidents I know of, but he
was a lousy one.

2) I'm not much a fan of McCain to begin with. However, I'll vote for an
unfaithful, lying, scheming, piece of slime that believes in the Free
Market and individual achievement before I'll vote for a Jimmy Carter
type that's a socialist.

Oh, and the unfaithful, lying, scheming piece of slime could even be
black, it wouldn't bother me.
