Ben,

The general way to tell a yawl from ketch is location of wheel or tiller. 
If the mizzen is in front of tiller or wheel it is most often a ketch.  If
tiller or wheel is in front of mizzen then it is most often yawl.  But that 
is not a fixed rule.  There are boats that defy the best to separate the
two.

Now if they were both IMF mast...
