Wally,

This is news only because the MSM is treating an official announcement as
news.  Powell has been advising Obama since early last spring.  That is why
he has not been involved openly with the Republican primaries nor did he
attend the Republican convention.  He had released statements in the past
saying that he had met with Obama and offered advice.

It was no big surprise; it was just waiting for an impact moment.

And another well known Black Republican had met with Obama, but is a
candidate for office as a Republican so we have to wait and see about him,
although he has made some disparaging remarks.

One problem about reliability or truth in the Main Stream Media is their
intentional omissions of stories, information, etc., not so much deliberate
misstatements which can be confronted.
