Not a contextual thing, not even really political, but still funny and
appropriate to the topic of spell checkers.
When my youngest was about 7, she was actually using one my computers by
then, and was pretty good at it. I came home one day, and she said
"Daddy, your computer is NASTY". I wondered what in the world she could
possibly have done with it (this was before the internet was popular,
but I DID have a modem and a Compuserve account). I asked her what she
was talking about.
She had gotten into my word processor (Word Perfect back then), and was
trying to type a "report" on her favorite things.
She explained:
"I tried to type 'pepsi', and your computer asked me if I meant 'penis'."
