[Rhodes22-list] Political - Obama admits he's a socilaist and so does Sarah

Stan,

Here's the story that few people know about Sarah Palin - she kicked
ass and took names in Alaska.  She started with Republicans. Alaska is
a unique situation in that all the citizens of that state own the
natural resources. For years, the deals were cut in the Governor's
office behind closed doors.  They appointed her to the Oil & Gas
Commission thinking the "little woman" would be satisfied and stay out
of their way.  She blew it up, then left under protest giving-up a
$104,000 a year job that her family sure could have used. She then
took a shot at the top job and scored a bulls eye.  She took on "big
oil" in Alaska and they laughed at her - for awhile.  What she won
from "big oil" was a 2.5% increase in the severance tax which means
billions for Alaskans.  She was smart enough to not make it so
punitive that they wouldn't continue to explore, but righted the
previously "good 'ole' boy deals".  Anyone who is too lazy to do the
research on what this woman has accomplished is being foolish.

Did Palin hang the moon?  No.  Is she a Messiah?  No.  Is she the
"toughest son-of-a-bitch that came down the pike since Harry Truman?
Yes.

Make fun of her hair, her kids, her husband all you want.  She's going
to be around for awhile and isn't going away.  Vote for the Chocolate
Messiah if you must, but McCain gets my vote for bringing the most
honest and effectual politician to the forefront of politics in at
least 50 years.
