I was afraid you'd say there are no cheap tricks. I am the world's 
worst photographer. What I see in front of me (and I am a close 
observer of nature) NEVER ends up in the finished shot. I'm usually 
pretty good with mechanical things and I understand things like 
computers fairly well but cameras seem to be beyond me. It certainly 
makes me appreciate the work of good photographers even more.

Thanks for the pine tree picture. Like an impressionist painting, I 
had to lean back a bit to see what I was looking at. Very nice.
