I use my second anchor stored in the cockpit but when I put it out I
let the rode slide through a large stainless clip that I attach to the
bow eye and then cleat it where ever you like. Sometimes I cleat it
from the cockpit and then I can adjust it from the cockpit Pull it
anchor up and reposition the boat right from the cockpit. Drop the
rode and cleat it off. As for the forewardanchor. I replace the rode
tray with a piece of plywood with a hole cut-out that holds a 5 gal
bucket. The rode flays into the bucket much easier than in the tray.
