Jim,

When was your boat built?

Mine is a '93.  It has two fiberglass longitudinal stringers, probably used
to box in the centerboard trunk and keel. Those stringers also support a
lateral stringer which serves to raise the cabin sole for the head.  That
lateral stringer was missed by the yard's initial inspection causing our
detour down the gusset road.  IMO, the only way my forward cabin sole would
bow is if the whole keel ripped out.
