[Rhodes22-list] Bimini Rub

Thanks, Ben,
Ron gave my the product# for the manufacturer, which was 3681 - 36" high, 79-84" wide. If you have a boom rubbing problem, you might check the product#. If it is the same, the nomenclature is the same I have learned, it can be cut down an inch or two if the mast rake cannot be amended - Ron had a few good suggestions. I can give you a probable solution in trimming, as the rubbing can be annoying. One of the bimini objections has been the 'parachute' shape that fills on a tack and competes with the sails. I sail with my BR top up, but it has a flat top and doesn't capture the wind. Anyone with a 'parachute' shaped bimini may be able to correct the sail effect by trimming at the side overlaps on their cover. It should lessen the problem. Most biminis are cupped over the sides it seems.
Has anyone experimented with their bimini? Think about those UVs raining dowm. My FIL has had dozens of spots removed, arms look like checkerboards!
