Our organization does inspections of facilities and send out reports to the inspected parties. We used to send the word documents but now send PDFs. Seems some unscrupulous people were taking our word documents and changing them to suit their needs and then we would have confrontations over which report was "correct". Can't really do that with a PDFs. We use Cute PDF, which is a free download that works directly inside Word. - rob

In case Rummy or anyone else is interested: Microsoft has a free add-in for
Office 2007 that will allow you to publish word docs, spreadsheets, and
access reports to PDF. I don't know why they make you hunt for it online
and install it separately. I didn't bookmark the page where you get it;
hopefully it's not hard to find.
That's probably too big a PITA to worry with just for an occasional post to
this list, but if you ever send docs to clients or vendors and have version
problems, then this can be quite helpful.

Yeah I'm guessing Word docs are getting stripped. Can you save it as
a PDF? More useful that way anyway. If you can't convert it, send it
to me and I'll do it for you.
Cheers!
