Hi, Kathy,
good to hear from you....I'm very sorry to hear of your loss...it will take time but you will survive. I lost my best sailing bud in 2005 & this list was a big help in keeping me sane......everyone can find a place somewhere in the group....
BTW...I'll vote with the majority as to list content....the charter is clear....as with any environment you are in, if you don't like it, leave. What's that old saw about majority rule???
Re: Emails cluttering inbox:::....open an exclusive email address solely for the list...I do this for my business, for my friends, for store signups, etc...then if I want to read Rhodes, I get only R-22 posts from watermusic38....I have a separate ones for other lists I am on....works great. Change th enumber on the address & use the same password. Even at my advanced age I can remembeer that!

Hi All,
This is Kathy Barron, My husband, Jim, was an avid reader and occasional contributor
to the list since we got our Rhodes in 2007. We bought our boat after his diagnosis
of stage 4 breast cancer (yes gentlemen I said breast cancer). During that time,
he loved reading the list--ALL of the conversations!! Daily he kept me abreast of
the current debate, repair advice etc. It became a wonderful diversion for him.
Well, we only got 3 summers out of sailing Puffin, Jim died this October.
But now I find myself drawn to daily reading of the list for the same reasons,
I recognize your names, personalities, humor, etc. Don't take that away from the
list. What you post might mean more to your readers than you think.
Open forum is my vote!
