[Rhodes22-list] Motor Lift Repair - what material?

The outer part of the slide on my motor lift apparently has become brittle,
cracked, broken.  1989.  See pic.

Any ideas what this material is?
Can I replace it with starboard?
I've never seen starboard adn my local west marine does not stock it.  I can
get some cutting board poly that might also work well.  Either way, I need
something that can be worked with standard woodworking tools.
