 Mary Lou,

Can you post how you searched the archives? I know it has been posted here several times, but I never wrote it down.

Thanks,
Todd T.

Chris,
There was a discussion of this in March 2008. (I had to look it up in
my outbox to find it.) It mostly has the subject heading "under galley storage"
http://www.rhodes22.org/pipermail/rhodes22-list/2008-March/thread.html
(about a third of the way down)

At the time I posted pix of our semi-permanent shelves (found at a
Linens n things or Bed Bath & Beyond or some such place). We put
small plastic containers on the shelves to hold eating utensils and
cooking utensils - two separate containers) and a small Rubbermaid
container to hold "pantry" items - spices, canned goods, mixes,
etc. There is a small hot pot that we use when we have shore power
to heat hot water for tea. (We also have an old tea kettle that lives
behind the shelves up against the hull when not in use.)

We have a nesting cookset that also fits on the shelves, When we are
cruising, we use the area under the sink to hold grocery items, We
have a canvas bag that is similar to a grocery paper bag in its
footprint which fits well under there. In this picture you can see
the other side of the shelves and the cookset sitting on them.

Dishes go in the storage space behind the sliding doors above the
counter. Mugs and glasses go on the shelf above that storage space.

We've found this arrangement is flexible and works really well for
us. The small containers for utensils are easy to grab and keep small
items corralled.
