Hey, that was cool. I thought all knots were already discovered by ancient
times. But mostly I'll have to teach my wife the trick as she dresses me
and ties my shoes.

How about a new knot? This may not be a nautical knot - but worthy of
evaluation. If you tie your shoes like this until Spring you will be ready
to try it on 1/4 and 3/8 inch line too. I've used it with good success
tying my shoes and attaching shrounds to the Mast for trailering. It always
ends up with a nice square knot easy to "undo". May be good for sail ties
and what not.
