Rummy,
There were no cockpit bench cracks when I bought the boat. I'm 200# and
never had anyone much bigger in the boat, although I have loaded it with as
many as 10 guests for calm sea sails.
The cracks appeared after having too much fun in the big waves. Those waves
also turn the mast into a pile driver.
