[Rhodes22-list] Whisker Poles?

I’ve been thinking about getting a whisker pole for my Rhodes22.  

In reading through the list, I see people recommend the Forespar HD-6-12 
(Telescoping Whisker Pole 
Outer dia: 1-7/8" Model #:  406300)  which is the heavier (and more
expensive) whisker pole.  Since I was going to make the investment any, I
was thinking of putting a track car on the mast for the whisker pole
(Forespar T-Track) so I could adjust the whisker pole height.   

Do people think this is the right idea?  If so, long should the track be, 6
feet?

PS – and thanks to the group for the help with deciding about a 12
Fridge/Freezer.  I did take everyone’s advice  and went with the cheaper ice
solution instead. :-)
