[Rhodes22-list] Trailering a Rhodes

Wally,

When our boat is in FL (which is 6 mos. of the year) we use a dry slip which 
requires us to launch and load the boat whenever we go out.  We do the same 
as Mary Lou in that we line up the trailer and pull the boat onto the 
trailer with a line attached to the bow cleat except for the last foot when 
we use the winch . the whole routine takes no more than 5-10 minutes. We 
have found that at our ramp it is not necessary to use the tongue extension, 
which saves a lot of time. The mast remains up while on the hard so this is 
not a consideration. I've included an attachment photo of  the relationship 
of the boat to the trailer that we use and have successfully towed many 
thousands of miles without any problems.
