Ron,
Thanks for the info, I used some leftover 3/4", a little bit of overkill I guess. I also removed the panel, which is attached to the counter bottom via its hinge, and it serves well as a galley surface/dining table (small)/and nav table. A good addition.
Shouldn't have a problem finding 15" when we get home from Padre Island and our family reunion. I'll look.
