We want to be careful about the types and amount of promos aswell.  Sony corp 

does not discount their merchandise.  Their reason is because they believe it 

incinuates that their product may not be the quality they represent it to be.  I admit 

I do like the idea of some promos but first and foremost I believe superior 

quality and customer will be what future customers are into.  Stan, I wanted to ask you if you are interested in doing some kind of display or show at any of the military bases when they 

do their freedom fests or october fests?  I know Fort Belvoir in VA does them.

Stan already does that, they always(almost :-) bring cut out plugs to show 
people. You are right seeing the layup is quite impressive. 

Art, you really want to do something. Try this, 

The show will permit "hostility" at the both after show close. Around 7:30 
to 10+, If enough of the list members want to do it we can arrange for a 
someone to cater in some BBQ, beer and drinks, good time for all and 
generally works out to 40+-$ a head.  I like Saturday night. But enough 
people need to vote with the wallet :-) and not refundable(rain, sheet, snow 
or expressly last minute problems, it a donation then :-) Also some one 
local get the "fun" of taking care on in town details. Any 
interest??????????????????

Michael, 

As I have given more thought to your reply, consider seriously the value of 
giving a prospect a small polished piece of hull scrap in good condition to 
illustrate the thickness and quality of GB materials and construction.  With 
or without the chain which I strongly recommended.  It would be no 
'trinket', my friend, instead a tangible, unique, and durable reminder of 
R22 quality.  Someone like you with marketing and field sales experience 
should see a legit value in this.   

My point in various suggestions I have made is for each of us to think a 
little more 'out of the box' to GB benefit.  I notice that some have made 
this effort.  I really want this company and this boat to thrive in the 
years ahead and our boat investments to hold or increase in value.

Art, 

Stan used to have pieces of the deck at the boat shows that were left over 
from making through holes for equipment.  I always was impressed by the 
"core sample" but I never wanted to take one home with me.  When I took 
delivery of my Rhodes so many years ago, the drill "plug" from the forward 
anchor vent was given to me to show the composition of the actual deck that 
I purchased. 

I keep thinking that you are trying to fix something that isn't broken. 
Stan has been through tough times before.  If you want to help, buy a boat!
