[Rhodes22-list] Deck Railing

We have a small leak in our Rhodes 22. I believe we have isolated it to the
cabin top stainless steel railing on the starboard side. It seems the
forward mounting holes leak, and it runs in down the water inlet hose into
the galley area. It isn't a big deal - just an irritant that I'd like to
fix. The obvious question is, how do I get at it? I assume the railing is
bolted through the cabin top to some backing plate hidden by the fiberglass
cabin liner. Is there any way to get at the bolt to loosen it and put some
sealant around the rail on the deck? I really don't want to cut holes in
the cabin headliner.

Any advice would be appreciated. Right now I am going to live with the
small amount of water - it sat in its slip on the Chesapeake this winter,
including 6 inches of snow covering the deck for a few days, and we only had
about 3/4 inch of water in the bilge around the centerboard trunk, so we
aren't in any danger of sinking any time soon.

Thanks

Dan Johnson
