Thanks for the timely response. :)

Now our baby is 100 lbs. dry and we think he may be a Belgian Shepherd mix
based on his size and long black fur.  He's a wonderful dog but has a
delicate constitution.  After three times out with three bouts of
seasickness, we figured everyone would be better off if he stayed home. 
We're daysailors so he's never left home for long, and rarely alone.
