[Rhodes22-list] good place to launch on Pamlico?

I've been told it depends on the weather as far as going outside.  Going
outside concerns me a bit, but if we're in a flotilla, might consider
it.  Otherwise, up the ditch.  Not going Core Sound. A Rhodes might make
it, but group leader draws 6 feet. - rob

Joe,
We've got a small flotilla leaving for Belhaven, NC on 6/14 and leaving
from there on the 15th heading towards Beaufort to arrive several days
later.  Part of the group will continue on to Ocracoke after that.
Total trip duration is two weeks.  If you're in the area during that
time, maybe we can hook up.  Still don't what part of the trip we will
be making yet. - rob

We are planning a trip later in June to sail to Ocracoke.  Wondering 
where might be a good place to launch on the western shore of Pamlico 
sound where we can leave the truck and trailer for 8 or 10 days.  Any 
recommendations for other places to gunkhole while we are in the area?
