Hi Elle,

That crack doesn't look to severe to me.
My guess is that water is leaking through the deck on the port side (e.g., portlight, chainplate, electrical fitting).  It gets between the deck and the liner and some goes straight down into the portside bilge, and some makes its way along the liner beneath the companionway to the hole in the liner through which the pennant tube passes.  
Put your hand up under the liner where the pennant tube is.  Feel for water in the channel in the liner, and feel for water on the pennant tube.  If my theory is right, the channel will be very wet, but the pennant tube will be dry.

Hi, guys,
Here's a boat item...!
After the rain I found mega water in my boat....in the bilge & in the port side compartment at floor level. Deductive reasoning (ha) led me to think that there was a problem with the hole for the pennant. I found what appears to be a crack in the hole that the centerboard pennant leads through. Looking inside, I saw that a wooden support for under the companionway opening was wet....and so was the floor & the bilge was full. 
Here afe pix...what is the consensus...and will cleaning out the crack, opening it slightly  & caulking it w/ LifeCaulk or one of its cousins solve it or am I in for a lesson in fiberglass??
Here are photos; the last few are remnants of the storm...
