[Rhodes22-list] Mechanical fittings vs swagged

I am fitting a used Harken 00AL Furler I bought used. Harken recommended I
use a "mechanical fitting" instead of a swagged. They seem to be only
slightly more expensive from my Defender catalog. Anyone have any experience
using these?
