[Rhodes22-list] Flag placement?

Sometimes no flag etiquette is better than flag etiquette. Recently a
Canadian boat joined my club's annual open invitational race flying the
Maple Leaf astern. The Coasties stopped and boarded her right in the middle
of the race for not flying the US Ensign in courtesy.

Turns out, the Canadians were right. They had sailed straight to the
starting line without setting foot on shore. But how do you protest the
Coast Guard?

Now when Canadian boats come, they don't fly any flag and nobody bothers
them.
