Thanks for the input.  My bilge was bone dry all season until recently.  I think it may have to do with the temperature change.  I previously noted what appeared to be a pretty constant leak/water coming at the rail fitting but suspected it might be coming from a nearby shroud connection or other thru deck fitting.  I used some plumbers putty to form a dam around the rail and then shroud fittings and found NO water infiltration at both of these.  I did the same exercise at the top of the fixed side port and the water immediately drained from the dam.  Not sure where the water went, around the port gasket or between the inner and outer deck panels?  The rail fitting that sometimes shows dripping water is located uphill from the fixed port but maybe the moisture migrates up to that area.  I will continue to mop out the bilge if required and keep an eye on things.  Maybe I should stop cleaning the boat so often and let a little dirt fill those nooks and crannies.

I have 150' of anchor rode in the tray that I'm sure soaks up lots of water.

My windows on both sides leak like a sieve, although my opening forward windows don't leak at all, yet.

When I first got my boat I routinely got water in my bilge whenever it rained.  Now I rarely get water in my bilge unless we get a serious downpour with lots of wind.  According to Elton, dirt and grime probably helped seal some leaks.

I always get water in my lazerette which I believe comes in through the opening for the belt for the motor lift.

For what it's worth, I haven't got any condensation since the first year I owned the boat, although I really didn't get much condensation then.

Although we live in the same area, it sounds like you get a lot more condensation than I do.

I don't have translucent hatches, which may be the difference.

I visit my boat frequently and always empty the bilge if it has any water.

You mentioned that it's tough to empty the bilge.  When I first empty my bilge, water continues to seep into it.  It takes about ten minutes of patience and sponging for all the water to be gone.

I only have one bilge area around the centerboard trunk and its access panel is not screwed down.

I went to the boat on Sunday and found water condensation dripping from the inside of the hatches and cabin ceiling, emptied about a gallon out of the bilge.  It seems like the sun passing through the translucent hatch is heating up the cabin interior that then causes the bilge water to fill the air and condense as it reaches the cooler cabin ceiling surface.  I suppose if I were to get all of the bilge water out then there would not be any moisture left to cause condensation even though the temperature differential would still exist.  It is tough to completely empty the bilge.  I have a small access panel just outside the head door, all other floor boards are securely screwed down.  This one removable floor board provides access only to the area around the center board trunk and this area appears to be slightly higher than the adjacent bilge areas port and starboard.  Do most rhodies leave the floor board screws out for easy access to all bilge areas?  Removal of the rode tray and installation of a nicro vent is probably my next step.  I had purchased a nicro vent that was supposed to be interchangeable with the cowl vent but it would have required complete removal of the thru deck cowl vent hardware.  I returned the nicro vent because I wanted the cowl vent option but now think it would be better to just go with the nicro vent.

For anyone interested in how this turned out...

The problem was the anchor rode tray, which was blocking the air flow.
Duh.  Getting that out of the boat before "the rains" come (in Seattle
that's pretty much November through May) allows the Nicro fan to adequately
vent the boat.  Only minor condendsation since removing the tray and getting
the rest of the junk out of the vee berth.

Hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving, survived Black Friday (damn
marketers), and are geared up to do lots of holiday shopping and boost the
economy.
