Our sailing season has no beginning and no end, as long as you dress warm
enough to keep your end warm. Head, fingers and toes are what you really
need to keep warm. I wear less clothes sailing in 40 degree weather than I
wear skiing. I am paranoid about hypothermia so I'm ridicuously careful
about not falling in the water. However, it does takes more effort jump out
of the cockpit than to remain in it.

Biggest downside to winter sailing is that my outboard doesn't want to start
in cold weather.
