[Rhodes22-list] Securing Mast for Transit

Stephen,

I don't think that you need to be concerned over stress or fatigue related 
metal failure in the extruded mast, especially if the motion is distributed 
over the length of the mast.  A poptop support shouldn't be too difficult to 
fashion from PVC to make you feel more secure.

Of course, you could reposition the rear view mirror so that you can't watch 
it and keep your eyes on the scenery in front.
