[Rhodes22-list] Securing Mast for Transit

Easier and cheaper. With mast tied down on stern and bow pulpits, we'd support mast in center by 2-3 life preserver cushions built up from cabin top roof; wedged under mast and tied down very tightly. Never came loose or and other problem. Mast is still true and in-line after 22 years of trailering and raising and lowering.
In our 28th year,we let the marina do it and would only trailer again if we were selling our '83.
