[Rhodes22-list] fuel line assembly

I want to remove my fuel line assembly so it is not exposed to winter
conditions however the fuel connectors at each end will not fit through the
rubber thru hull fitting.  looks like I simply need to remove the fuel
connector from the end of the hose.  Is there any trick to how to remove the
little metal clip  that holds the fuel connector to the hose?  It is not a
screw type clamp.
