Rick,
My boat is a 1986 that had been recycled in 2008. The lights are about 12 inches from the end of the cabin , and just to the top and front of the shore power outlet.
I've attempted to attach a picture.

Wow, nav lights on the cabin. Pretty quaint. Mine is just a single light
on the bow pulpit--powered by the main battery. What is the vintage of your
boat?
