Caesar,
I've done enough stupid stuff over the years that I take great pride in
helping my fellow Rhodies by pointing out their mistakes. Just trying to be
helpful.

Caesar,

Probably. When I unfurl the main the end of the boom is usually furthest
from
the masthead so I loosely tighten the topping lift then.

Later on when I let the mainsail out the topping lift is so loose that it
bugs
me so I pull it in. When I get back on a close haul I forget to let it
out
again.

Good eye!

Lee

Leland,

You make a pretty picture.

Your topping lift looks a little tight in the picture. Is it so?

Caesar

A friend took a picture of me taking a picture of him yesterday off Kent
Island.

Alas it's likely my last time out sailing for awhile. My boat hasn't been
out of the water in over two years and it's time for bottom painting,
outboard servicing, power washing, and a host of other little projects that
I've been putting off.

Hopefully I'll have her back in the water for some fall sailing. Until
then
I'll just have to live vicariously through your posts.
