[Rhodes22-list] Rudder Damage Query

Hi folks:

I'd like to get opinions about repairing superficial damage to the R-22 rudder. 
 It seems as I was motoring, I turned with the rudder not all the way down and 
caught the propellor. This put some gashes in the rudder that I want to repair. 
 They are not deep.  The deepest is less than one half inch;  the most shallow 
about one eighth inch.  Please tell me what you think. Thanks.
