[Rhodes22-list] hull problems?

Joe and Mike,
I used non-ablative Petit Trinidad on my boat and the directions said it would dry out and become ineffective if I didn't get my boat back in the water within a few weeks.

Joe,
Bottom paint is designed to become ugly and its purpose is to leave the hull
when sea creatures attach to it. If your boat was painted 3 years ago then
it is time to repaint, especially if it is on the hard most of the time -
the paint has dried out. The cracks appear to be at points of stress as
they are near the trailer bunks, where the paint cannot follow the hull
movements as the fiberglass flexes. I would sand, inspect to be sure that
it is only a crack in the paint, then repaint.
The rusty stuff is known as treasure, common on sailing vessels. The coin
is most interesting as I have only found gold doubloons in my boat. I would
spend it quickly before it looses any more value.
