[Rhodes22-list] This Old Boat

Here is some pictures of my latest project, replacing the foam flotation
under the cockpit floor.
After 41 years, the bulkheads were rotten, the foam was mostly gone (I think
gas leaked into the lazerette, melting the foam) which made the floor like a
trampoline. I put pressure treated wood in for bulkheads, used canned foam
to glue in the foam, which my wonderful assistant (Megan, my daughter) cut
out for me..in the rain! She was such a trouper. I hope never again to have
to do this, it was absolutely the most unpleasant job I have had to do to
the boat to date. Took about 14 hrs of  hard, sweaty cramped work. 
I put a half pipe in for a drain, and am going to glass in 3/4 pvc for
drains that will accept a standard plug.
The floor is now rock solid and we have positive flotation!yeah!! (I also
put in foam under the v-berth, but have no pics)
