Bob;
On the subject of SHBM slips the best thing to do is to call "Laurie" at
Bollerman Corp in Red Bank,NJ (the outfit that owns and runs the marina).
Her # is 732.872.1511. It can't hurt to use my name and talk to her about
what they may be willing to do for you.
They now offer to haul out boats and store them for the winter, but they
didn't when I first arrived there so I motor around on the Shrewsbury river
to Sea Bright and Lance Cunningham of the Carriage House Marina hauls out my
boat for the winter and paints the hull, stores the motor and batteries
inside, and generally takes good care of the boat. I don't even own a
trailer as there is no point in my trying to sail on the Delaware River or
Lake Carnegie here in Princeton.
As for Gunnison Beach, I hear a few sailors have been lured to their doom by
the "Gunnison Sirens" but you'll have to check with Geankoplis (sp?) about
the origin of that hazard.

Ben.. just wondering if the slips there are all seasonal or if any are short
term.. I have a slip at a PA lake, but would like to get it out in open
water sometime. I am familiar with the area, and have driven by the marina
several times. (I grew up in Jersey).
Do many sailors keep it close to shore past Gunnison Beach? ;>)
