Breathing gets in the way of drinking. I try to breath only when absolutely
necessary. Speaking of rum....I believe it's time for some rum.

Uh, Rummy is this the voice of experience I am hearing? And to think
that
I thought the brain cell death was the fault of the rum!

Chris,
The easiest solution is to conserve electricity by not breathing. That way

you retain all the battery power to cool your favorite beverage.
Priorities
man, priorities.

So Bob,
What kind of drain was there on the battery system? Did you have to
get shore power or was your charger on the outboard enough to keep if
running, can't remember did you have solar also? My concern is I use a
CPAP
breathing machine at night and that uses a lot of juice, don't know if my
current system can handle both. But it does sound intriguing.

Chris,
I replaced my icebox with an Indel Isotherm CR-60 refrigerator/freezer and
it is the best! I highly recommend it because when cruising we don't have
to worry about ice. Unfortunately I got rid of my old icebox but I'm not
sure it could have survived a shipment across country anyway.
