Rob,
One of my sailing buddies had his motor stolen from his boat as well.
I have three locks om my motor.  The idea is if a thief is on the prowl, the
motor with one lock my be a more attractive target than the motor with two or
three.

Caesar,
My real nightmare happened a couple of summers ago.  We were headed down the
dock to the boat with some friends for a day on the lake.  As I got closer to
the boat, I noticed something didn't look quite right.  Then it hit me, "where's
my @#$#$ motor!".  Someone had stolen it.  I now (and always should have) keep a
lock on it. - rob

Have you ever dreamt that you lost your boat, or that it was stolen, or that it
sank, or some such thing?
I dreamt last night that my boat was at some new sailing destination in the
water, and I arrived with motor, anchor and rode to ready it for departure, only
to be told by someone that he gave it away.
Imagine my shock and horror! Was I glad to awake this morning and realize that
I was dreaming.  So realistic was the dream.
And please don't ask what I had for dinner last night.
