[Rhodes22-list] Rhodes 22 Questions

Lee,
I have an '83 Rhodes with a conventional main (Non IMF) and I have managed (with
help from an experienced racer) to get 1st and 2nd place in two
separates regattas.
Also, I have been out in very strong winds using just a little bit of the jib
and have reached 7 knots. Afterwards, my crew had wet pants and it was not from
the water :-)

Lee,
Looking at your email again, it seems that some of us are so wedded to the IMF
that we have forgotten that Peter Thorn and Roger found the conventional-masted
R22 a well performing boat, and our own Stan-the-Man contemplated a new R22
Racer a few years ago, same as ours with portable ballast removed (RonRico, of
course; MtGay, Never!) conventionally-masted.
Have a nice day!
