[Rhodes22-list] John Locke's Traveler on Miracles

Dear Rhodies!

I wanted to post my pics of my adaption of John Locke's traveler  
concept on Miracles.
I spent about 3-4 days working on the entire job.  I had to have  
RIGGING ONLY of MA take off the original
GB cups and put on the  Bimini fittings that John recommended using.   
Rigging only had to reswage my  eyes onto the wire.
THe entire job of reswaging cost less than shipping the backstay to   
and from MA back in last May.

At first I used a new slider with a  large diameter ring but the pin  
to lock onto the genoa track was NOT deep enough and the slider would  
become loose on all points of sail.
I opted to use the original Schaefer genoa sliders that came with my  
1981boat and it worked fine!

Safe sails everyone
its HOT in Brooklyn today with winds over 18knots and an outgoing  
tide that made for 4 foot seas which turned me around before I could  
bend sail
bummer!
