Not sure about the fenders you are referring to but the very best 
fenders I've found for the Rhodes 22 are the Taylormade Low Freeboard fenders:

size. They work better on our flared hulls than anything else I've 
seen. We've used them in raft-ups with much larger boats and they've 
worked really well and of course in various docking situations.
