been several variations over the years and some previous owners

Went out for an afternoon sail 74degrees, 10mph winds. Should have been
wonderful but when stopped I could hear water coming into the boat
somewhere. Went down below and water was very slowly rising. Pulled the
floor up around the centerboard trunk and water was bubbling up through 3
holes in a cap held down by 6 screws on top of the centerboard cap. Pulled
the boat back onto its trailer and took the 6 screw cap off. Looks like
perhaps some tackle system was attached there for the centerboard pendant.
My question is how is the pendant supposed to attach to the centerboard so

can seal my bilge fountain.
