I used a backing block is just a piece of 1X4, just something to hold the screws. I used machine screws with nuts. But again I used nylon since I wanted a break away function. Now that I look closely at what Slim did, he might have used sheet metal screws on both sides to provide the same ability. I don't think you want a strong though bolt that won't give should another serious problem occur. If you're discussing with Stan, might see what he recommended. Or maybe Slim will chime in. - rob
