You definitely do NOT want to bolt it through.  Then you'll rip a huge 
hole in the cabin top if the mast goes again.

Drill out the holes, fill with epoxy and reset, that's the recommended 
method.  Then the screws just pop out if too much force is applied and 
saves your cabin top.  If you have a problem with the screws popping out 
when they shouldn't, it may be a problem with the epoxy and not the 
screws themselves.  Maybe a bad mix or set improperly for some other 
reason and didn't provide enough bite for the screws.
